Getting started

How to go from your invite link to a community that is set up on TeamALA.

What you need

  • An invite link. TeamALA staff send it to you after they say yes to your request. It is made for the Roblox account you named.
  • That same Roblox account. The invite only works for it.
  • To be 18 or older.
  • To own the Roblox group you want to set up. TeamALA checks this with Roblox.

From invite to set up

  1. Open your invite link. It is private, so don't share it. It stops working after 7 days, or once you use it.
  2. Sign in with Roblox. Roblox asks you to say yes. TeamALA never sees your Roblox password.
  3. Accept the invite. TeamALA makes your community and makes you its first owner.
  4. Say you are 18 or older, and accept the Community Agreement and the Acceptable Use Policy. Read them first. They explain what you can and can't do.
  5. Link your Roblox group. Pick one from the list, or type its number. TeamALA asks Roblox who owns the group. It only links if that is you. A group can be on one community only.
  6. Choose a name and an address for your community. The address has 3 to 32 lowercase letters, numbers or hyphens. It is part of your community's web addresses, so choose it with care. On the same step you pick which pictures people are shown with in the staff list: Roblox pictures, or Discord pictures once a Discord server is linked. You can change this later in Settings.

Stopping half way

TeamALA saves your place after each step. Close the page and open your invite link again later, and you carry on where you stopped. You can go back to an earlier step, but you can't skip one.

When you are done

Your community appears in the manage portal. During early access, some of the last set-up steps are still being finished, so your community may say it is still setting up. You can change what you chose here later.

Only TeamALA staff can change your community's address after set up, so ask us if you need to.

If something doesn't work

  • An invite that doesn't open is shown the same way whatever is wrong: it may be for someone else, or have run out, or been used. Ask us for a new one.
  • If TeamALA says your group is already on TeamALA, it belongs to another community. Ask us and we will look into it.
